It’s easy to overcomplicate what a healthy diet can look like when we’re constantly being told to eliminate almost every food that we enjoy. Instead of focusing on what to restrict, let’s focus on what we can add.
My #1 goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle by helping people make sustainable and realistic changes that are rooted in balance and satisfaction. Contrary to popular belief, dietitians don’t eat a “perfect” diet free of processed foods, non-organic foods, and non-GMO foods – nor do we need to. The goal isn’t to perfect the diet by eliminating all “unhealthy foods”, but to make a healthy lifestyle (a lifestyle that makes you feel happy, energized, and nourished) work for you!
This is a really great advice. I recently started to add things in to make meals more balanced as you suggested and noticed my body now naturally craves things besides carbs which wasn't the case before! And not only I stay full for longer but variety in my meals makes me feel more satisfied ❤ i used to get bored of foods very quickly.
So I had veges for breakfast and I was still hungry, so I ate , half a french toast and a glass of milk and a handful of nuts and now I feel satiated and energised.
on god, kylie i saw this video two years ago and it CHANGED my life. this is the best advice i have ever recieved, and i think about it every time i get food 🙂
I love this mentality and way of framing “think of what to add to a meal to make it healthier instead of what to take away”. Doesn’t feel punitive and depriving. A super helpful way to address healthy eating especially for those of us who have suffered from ED. Thank you!💖
Also the serving size of everything needs to be small. berries are carbs, seeds are calorie dense…as long as everything is counted and in small amounts it can still add up to a good meal.
Thank you!!! I was deprived of food as a kid because of poverty so when I got older and could finally afford to eat until I was satiated I would eat too much. Just thinking about not being able to eat enough just so I can feel better about my appearance, has stressed me out for too long. Part of why I eat too much now is psychological because of the fear that there might not be food at some point, it's just a bad loop I got myself into. Knowing I can add good food rather than constantly thinking I need to take food away is a really great way for me to rewire my eating habits. I think I can take a step forward toward better living with this information. It may seem small but small steps have been critical for my momentum ❤
if possible, is it possible to speak slowly. What is the benefit of speaking quickly?if possible, is it possible to speak slowly. What is the benefit of speaking quickly?

Love this video! This is what I had for breakfast for a year during university. Plain corn flakes (for some reason hard to find in the US but very cheap in tesco UK) honey, banana, dry fruits, seeds!
Well….the thing is there isnt nutrition in those highly processed cereals anyway. There always hard in controlling the addiction of the sugar. Whether healthy or not it is more in the imagination side of brain but nothing else. Im not opposed to her, and i think shes a great nutritionist. But just the junk food in itself what we are depicting so called healthy diet is to avoid bad carbs. Those are literally junk by the way. Its is similar to saying having a cigarette isnt bad but if you could eat a celery, berries or Sardine while you are smoking 🚬 make it a wonderful healthy smoking experience with those healthy foods. Its such a great idea to improve and lower the risk of smoking. ❤
Finding your video where you mention adding healthy things to your meal/routine/life instead of subtracting or restricting has been so life changing for how I view and approach making healthy changes. Thank you so much.
loving your advice and I’m thriving from it. so tired of those toxically masculine carnivore/keto dudebros who demonise carbs and resort to insulting food as being poison
It sucks because I don't like any of the things she added 😂😅 I barely even like cereal but I'll have cereal and milk once in a while. But I hate milk by itself lol

Thank you, thank you, thank you.Thank you, thank you, thank you.Thank you thank you thank you
This what I always do with oatmeal! I add fruits, nuts, dairy free butter, and honey! It makes it so much more nutritious and keeps me fuller longer
You are making a lot more sense to me after trying keto, carnivore and more "diet" which never work long-term and never make me happy.
