I’m 72, leaning toward more plant-based diet, but I even though there’s some brilliant minds out here I sort of disagree with some of the protein situation. I really do like fish as my probably main protein source although I know a lot of people say you can get virtually all the protein you need from plant-based diet. I am pretty much weaning myself off of Anything that’s sort of unhealthy, including sugar anything white bread rice I do like my eggs I do have like a frittata in the morning with eggs, cheese, mushrooms, and Italian sausage. I will have a small Square that for breakfast warmed up with some salsa on top and a cup of coffee for lunch. I have some kimchi and avocado And a little bit of salt and pepper and then I take a little Metamucil for my fiber therapy for dinner. I tried to eat something with a lot of she was on it either salad or steaming veggies but I was trying to add a piece of fish or small can of sardines or mackerel for me that seems to work so far I’m only about 10 days into the new plant-based Concept promised myself. I’m gonna weigh in on October 1. Right now I’m holding 225 pounds. And I started my job here in Southeast Missouri about 2 1/2 years ago, I weigh 270 pounds so I’m down to 25 and eventually wanna break the 200 pound barrier which I have not seen since I was in the army 52 years ago. I started my vegan journey over a year ago. Though I continue to deal with chronic infllammation and vestibular issues, I keep at doing what I can to keep active, adding some supplements that support my health where I was deficient in and that helps with my ongoing health issues. Slowly but surely, these symptoms are becoming less and less. it may not go away completely, but definitely being on a plant-based lifestyle for my foods/nutrition has helped me improve towards a better outcome. When I don't feel like chewing my veggies, I just make'em into yummy smoothies with nut milk or water and add fresh fruit besides kale or spinach – like bananas or blueberries. I'm thriving with plants! Thank you for your vids – being informed and educated is the way to go in helping myself and my family.
Every time I see butternut squash soup I think of my husband calling it "baby food" lol! I love it though.

My husband doesn’t listen to what’s important in my life style choices . He doesn’t like change . He will cont to eat meat . He kinda of just ignores my plant based lifestyle . So I have no expectations regarding my spouse sharing my plant based life style . This lifestyle is important to me . I do get sad sometimes about the lack of support but I just turn to the planted based community online . It helps
