Meals: Breakfast (36g protein) included Oats, Milk, Coffee, 1 scoop Biozyme Whey, Nuts and seeds, Pomogranate
Lunch (36g protein) was paneer, roti, salad & buttermilk,
Protein sensory(50g Protein): ~2 scoops of Biozyme whey
Dinner (29g protein) was dal, roti, eggs & salad.
The late night spikes resulted because 1) Late Dinner and Sleeping Soon After: Eating late and lying down quickly slows digestion, causing glucose to release later, leading to night time blood sugar spikes.
2) Starting with Carbs First: Eating carbs first can cause a quick rise in blood sugar. Starting with protein or fiber slows digestion, leading to more stable glucose levels.
3) Increase Fiber, Protein, and Fats: Adding more fiber, protein, and fats while reducing carbs from roti and dal can stabilize blood sugar by slowing glucose absorption and preventing spikes
4) Sleep-Induced Hormonal Changes: Sleep can trigger.the release of certain hormones, like growth hormone, which can raise blood sugar levels, especially if they coincide with digestion.
5) Timing of Physical Activity: Lack of physical activity after the meal or a prolonged period of sitting can also contribute to delayed glucose spikes.
