    4-ingredient Healthy Mango Smoothie🤩 This smoothie is super creamy and so delicious😋

    This makes two servings:
    1 1/2 cups / 9 oz. frozen mango chunks (about 260 g) *
    1 cup (lactose-free) Greek yogurt (240 ml, about 250g)
    1/2 cup – 3/4 cup milk of choice (120 – 180 ml)
    2 tablespoons chia seeds + 1/2 cup milk (120 ml)
    •
    1. Soak the chia seeds in the milk for about 20 minutes
    2. Put all the ingredients into a blender and mix until creamy
    •
    •
    *If you are on the elimination phase of the low-FODMAP diet, use less than 1/5 cup / 40 g mango per serving and add frozen pineapple instead😁

    Mango Shake Recipe

    This recipe provides instructions for a classic mango shake, easily adaptable to your preferences.

    Ingredients:

    – 2 large ripe mangoes (about 2 cups chopped)
    – 1 ½ cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
    – 1 ½ tablespoons sugar (or to taste, adjust based on mango sweetness)
    – 2-3 ice cubes (optional, omit if using frozen mango)

    Instructions:

    1. Wash, peel, and chop mangoes into small pieces. Discard the pit.
    2. Combine mango pieces, milk, sugar (if using), and ice cubes (if using) in a blender.
    3. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more milk for a thinner consistency.
    4. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

     

    Tips and Variations:

    – For a thicker shake, freeze chopped mangoes for 20 minutes before blending and omit ice cubes.
    – Use high-quality mangoes with less fiber for a smoother shake. Alphonso mangoes are recommended.
    – If fresh mangoes aren't available, use ready-made mango pulp or frozen mango cubes.
    – Garnish with almonds, cashew nuts, a scoop of ice cream, or whipped cream.
    – Add other fruits like banana or papaya for a more complex flavor.
    – Adjust sweetness to your liking.

     

    Vegan Option:

    Substitute dairy milk with your preferred plant-based milk (almond, soy, oat, etc.) for a vegan version. Coconut milk adds extra creaminess.

     

    Troubleshooting:

    – Too thick: Add more milk.
    – Too thin: Add more frozen mango or ice cubes.
    – Not sweet enough: Add more sugar or a natural sweetener like honey or maple syrup.

    I tried this myself, and oh my gosh, it is DELICIOUS! I accidentally added a little less milk then I should have, and it became this creamy smoothie-bowl delight. I’m honestly surprised about how close this tasted to an avocado smoothie! (With a mango flavour, ofc)
