If you're going to make a claim like that about the yogurt not having the live cultures due to pasteurization after fermentation, you really should provide a link to that study, report, or investigation. That's a pretty big claim. Not sure how yogurt companies can get away with claiming there are live and active cultures if there are not. While I find a lot of your information to be helpful, you lose credibility if you make wild claims, but don't bring the receipts to back it up. This has become all too common in the health and wellness space, which is why consumers are so confused about what they should and shouldn't eat. Please don't add to that confusion.

Only L. Rhamnosus can survive the acid in a human stomach. All other probiotic are destroyed within 30 min unless they are encapsulated.

There’s no such thing as a “live” prebiotic. Prebiotics are not living things, they’re nutrients, usually in the form of long chain saccharides.

I used to eat yoplait but the sugar or some ingredient started giving me an upset stomach oddly enough. The cups get more and more expensive for such a small serving too. Siggis is definitely staying in the rotation.

I guess I’m confused because the bacteria is live in the kefir or yogurt but you are saying the sugar kills it. But it’s sitting in sugar and alive? That makes no sense. Can someone explain to me.

I am curious to ask others, has anyone else noticed that if you take a probiotic yogurt and night with your vitamins, you wake up the next morning feeling better than had you not taken the yogurt ?
