I am an economist and led business development teams over 4 continents, I still don’t understand why the medical insurance companies don’t latch onto this (this truth) and help to promote the WFPB diet??

To me, it seems in “big insurance” interest to have us paying premiums, but NOT getting sick.

What am I missing here ?

So, big money and big government, in addition to big pharma, are all interfering in the doctor-patient relationship in their quest for more profits. That is medical malpractice and should be halted immediately! Make it illegal! Shouldn't the public's health be more important than any profit to be made??

Because we’re dealing with the disease industry not a health industry.

Just eat clean food. Eat meat if you want to. There’s nothing wrong with it. Eat grass fed, pasture raised, organic unsprayed etc. That’s it.. Simple!

I am not 61. I have been relatively healthy my entire life. My mother has always been active and healthy too up till just a couple of years ago. I'm slowly learning about various health issues, the health system, hospitals and doctors. Just this last few months I have started to read and understand nutrition labels. When my mother told me that the doctors don't ever speak to her about her diet, I was very confused. It sounds like there is a big dis-connect.

Like the famous saying goes "It's all business." This is what the corporates just want 💰….
There are a very few handful of people left on this planet who genuinely care about the well being of other people and Dr Campbell is one of them who is not afraid of the big corporates and speaks the truth. Cheers for him 👏. May the world see more genuine people like him🙏

Working in health food stores i watch sick people get well. They love to come in and share their recovery. And they in turn help others. The best books on nutrition scare you into making healing changes and choices. And a food sdditive dictionary. Take it w you to the grocery. 🎯

In the 70's I read Sugar Blues by Duffy. Guided me ever since. I have gardens and they are a beautiful and essential part of my life and health. Get a food additive dictionary. Ezekiel thrived on "pulse". Complex carbs and good fats. Look at the skeleton of a cow. Grass built that body. Remember, health is your greatest wealth. Thank you doctor Campbell.

A simple answer from engineering point of view : If a physician understands well about what the ability of right nutrition is ! he /she won't prescribe those drugs with too much side effects to hurt his / her patients so big drugs companies will go bankcruptcy , therefore medical students don't have courses about nutritions Right ?
Contrarily , as an engineer to trouble shoot a dead machine ( machines are unable to to talk about the symptoms ) we have to try every possibilities to resolve the problem without any further damages to that dead machine !
Kindly suggestion to the medical students and physicians : Learn more about nutritions to save the patients' innocent lives because as you hear that food is medicine ; " ( Foods = Chemicals ) can act as medicines " to resolve the ( structure = biological-chemical human body)'s diseases ! God bless all !

Man, this gentleman's voice reminds me a lot of Joe Biden's…well, except for that he is coherent, can complete a sentence without it being gibberish, and actually knows where he is while he is speaking. Other than that, the tone of voice is really similar.

    And great talk, of course.

I want to be a doctor, but i knew nutrition wouldnt be covered in the curriculum. So I've almost finished my degree in nutrition before i go onto medicine. It's appalling that it's ignored. I believe it is the most important subject for health.

I remember in PE in elementary we would talk about nutrition all the time. I am now 20 years old, trying to look up videos about nutrition and the science behind it so that I can better understand what I need to do for myself and my health because when I understand why we do things and how it works is easier for me to stick to that routine and I can’t find any videos. I mean I’ll find videos about keto nutrition and Paleo and all these diets but I don’t wanna go on a diet. I just want to eat clean healthy food and learn what types of food are best for someone in my position.

The countries with the healthiest and longest lived populations prioritize nutrient density in their food choices daily and walk several miles a day. We should look more at what individuals of “Blue Zones” do and focus less on MyPlate recommendations, and minor arguments of minutia within a diet.

I always thought that doctors at some point, for one reason or another, put aside seeking to advance science and only stick with the theory they have learned. That is, it is as if they are not interested in investigating more, discovering new things or making new hypotheses.

A major critique of animal studies (and he didn’t even say what animal was studied) is that it’s very difficult to say that the same would happen in humans. Just because you used an extremely low protein diet to prevent cancer in rats doesn’t mean that the same will work for humans. Animal studies are some of the least respected studies in medical science for this reason. It would be better if he had cited meta analyses or larger sample size human studies on low-protein diets.

Are all proteins equal? The speaker talks about protein quantitatively, but not qualitatively. What kind of protein are the animals given, and what else are they given? What else is in the food? What else could be interacting with the protein?
