The best diet is one that promotes balance, including a variety of whole foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats, rather than strict elimination of food groups.
The best diet for humans was found to be vegan. The longest most comprehensive study ever conducted on diet (The China Study by T Colin Campbell) found that populations which consumed animal products had the worst health.
Being Vegan Keeping Peace ❤
Thank you! Mindful, culture, talking at meals
Are you saying the real diet is the friends we made along the way?
Who’s eating while watching this 😂
You drew all these😮
This is just what I needed! Thanks Dr Mike. I have done it before with this approach- I just need to do it again.
Consistency over perfection!
I also recommend you to watch "Glucose Revolution" on Youtube.
Here you will also find many useful tips about healthy living /diet and more
This gave me so much positivity! No stress pressure or big sell.
i saw u in the 3 body problem i guess
I commented 3 years ago on this video. Here are some thoughts I have now…
Veggies are very, very important more with regard to the need for eating them regularly, rather than massive amounts in fewer meals, or less often, etc. Veggies should be more like appetizers, as well as something that accompanies the main course or is a part of the main course…
I love berries, but other fruits as well. Fruit is the dessert. Sometimes dark chocolate with the cocoa content 85%-90% is a great idea as well, etc.
Nuts and seeds are always a good idea.
Beans are awesome. I just don’t eat them all the time…. Sometimes though, yes.
Fish is awesome.
Eggs are good. Esp. pasture raised eggs.
Poultry is great. Esp. pasture raised poultry.
Meat is good as well. I just think that maybe it’s more of a question of how much meat is healthy to eat in one sitting, or over the course of a week, is all…. I think there is some debate still about cured meats…. Some meat-like dirt cheap hot dogs, are really not a very good idea…. Chili dogs are better, yes, but maybe without the bun…. Just the chili with a bit of hot dog…. 🤔🤔
Fried foods are not healthy, this is true…
I think grains and starches like forbidden rice, quinoa, amaranth, millet, sweet potatoes, buckwheat, Indian corn, blue corn, red corn, farro, teff, bulgar, etc. are very good to eat more of. In much of the Western world esp., as well as in other locales perhaps, there is far too much refined wheat flour in breads, etc.
Dairy is a good idea if it is grass fed dairy. But dairy foods should be a side dish, not consumed very much overall…
Herbs and spices are awesome.
Water is essential.
Exercise is important, very, very important…
And also, sleep…
Watching this makes me realize, I know how to eat healthy, I just need to do it.
This video is a mix of factual information and critical misrepresentation of key concepts such as carbs and PUFAs are fine….
I simply can’t eat in moderation. The only way I lose weight is fast 2 days, eat one. Two steps forward, one step back.
It’s easier to fast than to eat in moderation.
This is good
I like apples and bananas
This video is such a game changer and is exactly what I was looking for in my weight loss journey. I feel like all of the pressure around what not to eat causes so much stress, especially when people are around those foods every day with family/at work/with friends etc. A simple change in mindset that you can be healthy at any size is the true inspiration to live a healthy life and the weight will come off with those better habits
Thanks Doc❤
I’m tired of my family members calling me fat
Best diet ever made is :- detox and only detox to avoid all kind of issues of the food sick future illnesses
Still the best advice, I keep coming back to this video for more than a year.
thanks
nice
Great job Doc
Brilliantly put
i watched this twice and still dont understand-
3 tips only to reduce the fat health problems easily to lie to your brain that your eating all day but infact too little eaten : 1. Eat gum without chewing the gum even if it was 10 gums in one day just use toothpaste a lot to clean 2. Think drinking not eating every day so choose any juice with sugar: sugar not a poison like 10 juice and 10 water and start finishing the water and juice then no time to eat every day 3. Stop swallowing the food every bite of food is more poison and calories so this is the no. 1 trick for the body to enjoy only taste in all tasty all kind of food
* sports are depending on your body abilities but of course fast strong sports much better that walking only like many people advise. Running while watching tv is excellent and better even than walking in gardens
“Small tweaks over big changes” 💪🏼
This is an outdated video. There is no need to eat fibre, which is an indigestible complex carbohydrate, otherwise known as cellulose. Recent studies have shown that high cholesterol is not a health issue. Those with a high level of cholesterol live longer, healthier lives.
Great video
Excellent video! Explained in detail.
Now that was the best and most logical video on food I've seen on Youtube over my 20 years on this platform. A mention of food addiction would've been good but still, an amazing video.
What a great video. Thanks 🙏
Brilliant, thanks.
Great video, and totally agree. Here in the US when women started to enter the workplace, understandably an emphasis was put on convenience which gave rise to more processed foods and fast foods. Then of course fat got vilified and was often replaced with sugar making processed food very caloric dense. Combine this with our ever increasing sedentary lifestyles and it’s no wonder many of us have gotten fat.
So many crazy diets these days with little or poor studies to support them and even fewer long term studies. People ought not confuse themselves and simply try to incorporate more Whole Foods to their diet and limit processed foods as much as they can. I learned to cook well which really helps making “eating healthy” enjoyable…..because nobody wants to eat kale sandwiches everyday! I still enjoy pizza and burgers but I try to make “better bad choices”. If I feel like a burger I don’t get fries. If I get pizza I don’t eat half of it in one sitting. People fail because they set themselves up for failure. Dieting is a short term solution not a lifestyle change…which is needed for success. Being healthy doesn’t mean u need to run on a treadmill 2 hrs a day but I agree some form of exercise is hugely important. Not for the calories it’s burns but mainly for the reasons mentioned in the video. Also maintaining some muscle mass by exercising helps with metabolism and their is no better way to burn calories than passively. I’m 51 and have never been fat but my weight will jump around by 10 lbs if I’m making bad choices. I lift weights for a half hour about three days a week just to maintain muscle mass and walk 30 min or an hour everyday. Along with eating about 80% whole foods it’s worked for me all of these years. I think the biggest deterrent for people is thinking being healthy is some sort of huge miserable commitment, and it’d not! What’s miserable is having adverse health conditions as a result of the choices we make. Just wanted to share so people understand how “doable” being healthier can be.

Best shake for weight gain i personally refer this ❤
starting tomorrow morning and thanks to you for saying to think about what is healthy to eat rather than what I can't eat is awesome.
Expertise and superb graphics keep viewers from turning off the film because it's too boring
I especially like the hand-drawn presentation. Thank you for sharing this knowledge.🎉🔥
As someone who loves junk food, I really have a hard time getting healthier the more I eat.
Especially when I mentioned eating fish at the end of the film, because I hate eating fish,
I think it should not be easy to lose weight healthily.
I like your illustrations, thank you for reminding us that opting for health does not have to be an all or nothing proposition.
Amazing video! very interesting and creative.
I'm so agree that he said there are some differents when you just eat alone or have meals with others.
Haiyaa The end of the world can only bring two seeds I will bring potatoes and edamame
Edamame is awesome ❤
knowledge is power. Yes! let's concentrate on what is healthy to eat and stick to it we will achieve a healthy diet regimen with less effort.
I hate fish so I'm fucked basically. Nice.
This video made more sense than any video I’ve heard on diets. I’m currently a vegetarian, been that way for almost 4 years and I’m tired of it, haven’t seen much change in my body or life. Im seriously thinking of going back to a Mediterranean-based diet while maintaining omad. Thank you sir!!
I'm wondering what is the app the Dr uses to create his videos?
Impeccably well done. Thanks
